Dr. Dave M. Davis, M.D., D.L.F.A.P.A., F.A.B.F.P., F.A.B.P.N. has practiced general psychiatry in Atlanta for over 30 years. His approach to patient’s focuses on an open, direct, firm, teaching relationship based on mutual trust. This is a practical therapy directed toward improved functioning, as well as better health.
Dr. Davis is Board Certified in Clinical Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Board Certified Disability Examiner.
Dr. Davis is also a Board Certified Forensic (legal) Psychiatrist as well as a Board Certified Clinical Psychiatrist. He spends 20% of his efforts in doing evaluations for Judges, Attorneys, Corporations and other businesses. These involve Civil, Criminal and Probated cases including Child Custody, Personal Injury, Addiction, Disability, Workers Compensation, Wills, Criminality, Guardianship, Brain Injury, etc.
Dr. Davis received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill in 1963. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Harvard (Massachusetts General Hospital), Emory and The University of Florida.
Dr. Davis has received awards for “Best Therapists in the United States”, “America’s Top Psychiatrists”, “America’s Top-Rated Physicians” and “Atlanta’s Top Doctors”. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a minority Fellowship Mentor.
